
Stuttgart Echterdingen Airport Information
Stuttgart Airport (IATA:STR) is an international airport located approximately 13km (8 miles) south of Stuttgart city centre in Germany. It lies on the boundary between the nearby town of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt and Stuttgart itself. It is the 7th most important airport in Germany and the main airport of the state Baden-Württemberg. In 2006 Stuttgart airport carried 10,109,425 passengers.
The original terminal, built in 1938, was finally replaced in 2004. There are now four terminals with a maximum capacity of approximately 12 million passengers.
